Frano Gotovac was an architect from Split, Former Yugoslavia, who also drew comics. He graduated from the Faculty of Engineering in Zagreb in 1956. His comic stories were published in the newspaper Slobodna Dalmacija, such as the Jack London-adaptation 'Morski vuk' (1953), 'Tom Haggin prelazi u profesionalce' (1954), 'Crni biser' (1955), 'Grad samoubojica' (1956), 'Anđeo sjevera' (1958), 'Lovci na čaplje' (1960), 'Zemlja slijepih' (1963) and 'Ucjena' (1979).
