Francisco Grant Martínez was a Cuban comic artist, who worked mainly under the pen name Tristán. He began his career in 1919 and has contributed to El Tiempo from Cárdenas, Policía Gráfica, Política Seria, Candela, the Marianao daily El Sol, La Semana, La Política Cómica, El Día, La Lucha, Crítica, Heraldo Liberal, Chispa, Zig Zag, Bohemia, Billiken and Ataja. He was the creator of the character 'Senén' for the children's comics monthly Muñekitos de Billiken in 1954.
