Manu Grey was born in Meudon, and studied Fine Arts. Settled in Saint Brieuc, Brittany, he was also an apprentice of Jean-Claude Fournier. He self-published the fanzine Illusion with a couple of friends during his studies. He later also attended the Institut Saint-Luc in Brussels, Belgium. Back in France, he picked up his studies in foreign languages while drawing comics for some local fanzines. He made his professional debut as the artist of 'La Voie du Silence', a spin-off series of scriptwriter Nicolas Mitric's 'Arkeod' saga, that was published by Soleil between 2004 and 2006. From 2012 he works with Crisse on the 'Atalante' series.
