A.S.T.

Jean-Philippe Morin is a comic book artist from Québec, also known under the pen name Gyzmo. He began his career in several Canadian magazines, including series like 'Archibald le Cannibale' and 'L'Astronaute' with text by Mario Malouin for Safarir. In 1993, he published the black and white album 'Barnabé et Compagnie' at Studio Montag Editor. He also did some gags for the short-lived magazine Pignouf in 1996. From 2003, he did the artwork for a couple of humorous 'Docteur Big Love' books from scripts by Jacky Goupil and Sylvia Douyé for Vents d'Ouest.

Morin made humorous series like the funny animal comic 'Biodôme' with Frédéric Antoine for Bac@BD since 2011, and the fantasy comic 'A.S.T. - L'Apprenti Seigneur des Ténèbres' with Ced for Sarbacane since 2014. Gyzmo has additionally worked in the animation field as a storyboard artist on series such as 'Kids from Room 402', 'Turtle Island', 'Kapüt & Zösky', 'Pig City', 'What's With Andy' and the motion picture 'Pinocchio 3000'.
