Malcolm Hancock was mainly active as a magazine cartoonist, among others for the National Review. He has drawn comic strips like 'Nibbles' (1961-63), 'Patrick' (1965-69), 'The Fantastic Foster Fenwick' (1968-1982), 'The Lumpits' (1970-1978), 'Polly' (1972-1974), 'Pig Newton' (1983), 'Malfunction Junction' (1990-1993), and 'Hi and Jinx' (1991-1993). He has also published in Hugh Hefner's Playboy, The Saturday Evening Post and the Washington Post. After Hancock's death in 1993, 'Hi and Jinx' was continued by Jonny Hawkins
