Julien Hippolyte studied Decorative Arts in Strasbourg. He worked with Lisa Mandel on the comic feature 'L'Île du professeur Mémé' for the children's magazine Capsule Cosmique, that ran from 2004 to 2006. A book colection was published by Éditions Milan in 2006. Hippolyte is mainly active as a performer with classic animation techniques, such as shadow plays. He also teaches animation workshops for children.
