Masaya Hokazono began his career as a mangaka in 1980 with 'Kyôchirô! Kyôshirô!', a manga comedy. He also worked as an artist for video games. He took on a several other manga serials in several genres, such as science fiction ('Laguna Tsûhin'), religion and the occult ('Seinaru Shinnyû', 'Inugami').
