Kiki et Aliène
Nicolas Hubesch was born in the Yvelines department as the son of a Belgian father and Algerian mother. He has lived in L'Auvergne, Lyon, Dijon and Strasbourg, where he studied Illustration. He eventually settled in Paris, where he has worked as an illustrator for mainly children's publications. His comic stories and drawings have appeared in magazines published by Bayard Presse, Dupuis (Spirou), Milan and Actes Sud Junior, for which he worked in cooperation with writers like Serge Bloch, Paul Martin and Jean-Michel Thiriet.
With the scriptwriter Trap, he made two books of the children's series 'Aux Frontières du Quaternaire' for Éditions Milan in 2004 and 2005. He participated in the launch of the Milan magazine Capsule Cosmique with his companions of the Atelier du Coin. Hubesch contributed the comic features 'La Méthode de Savoir Survivre' with Trap and 'Vladimir sur les troits' with Gwen de Bonneval. He makes 'Zouk la petite sorcière' with Serge Bloch for Les Belles Histoires and the comic about extraterrestrials 'Kiki et Aliène' for Astrapi in 2014. He made the comic book 'Back in Town' for a more mature audience with Anne Baraou and Éditions Dargaud in 2010.
