Hyuna was born in Germany, but lives and works in the north of France. She studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Tournai, together with fellow artists like Bouillez, Nicolas Delestret and Charlet. Her first album, 'Eau de Cuisson', appeared at Oro Productions in 1997. Hyuna contributed to the collective album 'Paroles de Taule' and drew 'Metropolitain' for Delcourt's Encrages collection in 2002. In 2005, she made 'La Tartine au Beurre' at Carabas.
