Néstor Antonio Ibañez began publishing his comics in the magazines of the publishing house Torino in 1964. His series 'Chirola' appeared monthly in El Conventilla de Don Nicola, and 'Un Pirata en Apuros' and 'Pánico en la Ciudad' were published in Fun-Yi-To.
Another series by Ibañez was 'Robot Detective', published in Pepinucho y Coliflor. His art has also often graced the covers of these magazines. Between 1996 and 2000 he additionally illustrated games and puzzles for a weekly supplement of the newspaper Clarin.

Ibañez has additionally published cartoons and drawings in magazines like Siete Días, Hortensia, Pitos y Flautas, El Gráfico, El Cronopio (Spain), Chau Pinela, Humor and Sexhumor, as well as the dailies Crónica, El Tiempo (Córdoba), La Voz de Buenos Aires, La República (Uruguay), La Tarde, Tiempo Argentino and El Cronista. With the help of Hachel, he also had his work published in Italy, Germany, Finland, Austria and Belgium.
