Jan-Loup was an artist and illustrator for Lisette magazine in the 1950s and the early 1960s. He was the author of comic stories like 'Le Trésor de la Crique aux Oursins', 'Les Naufragés de L'Ile aux Crabes', 'Mireille de Camargue', 'La jeunesse d'Arago' and novel adaptations like Fenimore Cooper's 'La Prairie'. He has done illustrations for the Collection Jean-François of Editions Fleurus.
