A comic fan since early childhood, Ruy Jobim Neto founded the review Agaquê in 1986 with some other cartoonists. He created the character of the dog 'Jarbas' in 1989. 'Jarbas' has been published in books, magazines and newspapers from 1993. He has his own magazine, called Bricadeiras do Jarbas, which is published by Bentivegna since 1996.
