'Scat'. 

Jorge Carvallo Muñoz is one of Chile's most prominent humorous artists. Born in 1932 in Santiago, he began his career in the 1940s in Pobre Diablo magazine. He then worked with 'Condorito' artist Pepo, drawing comics for the publishing house Zig Zag. At the time, Carvallo drew funny cartoons for El Cabrito, which he signed with Jorcar. In 1950, he published 'El Meteoro', the first realistic superhero in Chile. He also created children's comics like 'Policóliro', a funny animal strip, 'Quiltrín' and 'Lilita y Milito', and worked with Pepo's 'Condorito' in the magazine of the same name and in a daily strip.

In the 1950s, Jorcar was among the first artists of Onda magazine, and began a long collaboration with he political magazine Topaze. He launched comic  strips like 'Locario' and 'Camarita', which appeared in many of the country's newspapers, and drew 'Valverde' for El Pingüino. He remained active for Zig Zag through contributions to Okey, and with 'Pelopido' in Can-Can. He also ventured into advertising art.

Jorcar's main occupation during the 1970s was cooperating with Guido Vallejos on his magazine Viejo Verde. In the following decades, he created political work for Topaze, the Sunday supplement of La Tercera, as well as a comic strip called 'Don Lalo y su Bandita'. More recently, he went to work for foreign publishers, doing covers, jokes and illustrations, and an erotic comic called 'Porno Cómic' with Nato. For the Argentinian market, he made a comic about a jazzplayer, 'Scat', in 2000.

Jorcar died in 2017.
