Marc Le Grand, who uses the pseudonym Joub, has been a comic fan since his youth. Born in Colmar, he now resides in the Rennes area. After his studies in Plastic Arts, he founded the Psurde Studios with Étienne Davodeau and childhood friends Fred and Jean-Luc Simon. He finally made a professional start of his comics career after completing his military service. His made his first published strips for the magazine Auto-Rétro. In 1995 he founded his own advertising agency, Joub Création Graphique.
He has worked on many comics together with Davodeau, starting with the children's comic book 'Le Voyage Infernal' that was published by Magnard in 1998. It was followed by their children's series 'Max et Zoé' for Delcourt Jeunesse between 1999 and 2003, and the coming of age trilogy 'Geronimo' for the Dupuis collection Expresso between 2007 and 2010. Together with Nicoby, he chronicled the days of the now-defunct satirical magazine Hara-Kiri and its editor Professeur Choron based on Daniel Fuchs' memories in 'Mes années bêtes et méchantes' (Drugstore, 2010) and the career of Breton artist Jean-Claude Fournier in 'Dans l'atelier de Fournier' (Dupuis, 2013).
