Joy is the creator of 'Billy Paf, de dappere cowboy', an landscape format-shaped comic book, published by Strips i.o. (actually the printing firm Boom-Ruygrok N.V.) in Haarlem in 1945. This publisher also brought out 'De Vlucht van Boris' by an artist named M. Antonie in 1946, and 'Joris Voetangel' by Francis Paid in 1946.
