Jussi Karjalainen studied graphic design in Helsinki. In 1997, he founded publishing house Napa Books together with Jenni Rope. Some of the comics he created are 'Nuo vanhat, viisaat' (1992), 'Onnen päivä' (written by Christer Nuutinen, 1995), 'Maailman viimeisin' (written by Antti Tuikkala, 1996), 'Väsy' (1997), 'Däng Däng Däng' (1997), 'Peikko' (1997), 'Kaksi ovea' (1997), 'The Island of Nod' and 'Simon seikkailut'.
