Kil Chang-deok was a master in Korean juvenile comics. Making his debut in 1955, he had a career in comics for over 40 years. He worked for the adult press early in his career, but from 1966 he focused on children's comics, starting with his daily comic 'The Gifted Child'. Kil Chang-deok had his heydays in the 1970s and 1980s, when basically the entire juvenile press published his work. After his first comic book in 1976, titled 'Keobeongi', he created 'Perverse Lady', 'A New Version of Treasure Island', etc.
