Ivica Koljanin was a Serbian cartoonist, cartoonist and illustrator. Born in Novo Milosevo, he made his first cartoons for Ježa in 1945, and began his career in illustration during the following year for Matica srpska. He published his first comic strip in the Sarajevo newspaper Male Novine. Koljanin is best known for his partisan comic 'Nesalomljivi' ('The Untouchables'), made with Danilo Grujić and Mihajlo Habul. It was first serialized on 4 July 1962-63, and subsequently reprinted on several occasions.
His strip 'Trifun' was published in YU Strip during the late 1970s and early 1980s. Koljanin's work has been featured in several expositions, and the artist has received recognition for his contribution to Yugoslav comics at the Salon of Yugoslav Comics (Retrospective 1935-1985) in Vinkovci in 1985.
