Darko Kreč graduated from the Faculty of Mining Engineering at the University of Zagreb. He is best-known as an author of animated films and as a Lecturer at the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb. He worked as main animator on a number of animated series ('Little Flying Bears', 'Chip and Carly', 'Bojan', 'Anima-Animal', etc.). He is the author of the animated films 'Duet', 'Coffins', 'The Last Waltz in the Old Mill' and 'The Level'. Krec has also worked as a comic artist, producing the comics 'Boduljko i Žbunika', 'Kvark' and 'Karlek'.
