Erik Viktor Einar Lagerwall was the first Swedish artist that was hired by the Danish Gutenberg in the mid-1960s. He was therefore one of the earliest artists of the Danish Disney production. He was at certain points inspired by Italian artists like Giovan Battista Carpi. He mainly did artwork for inserts in Kalle Anka & Co. and advertising material, but also for some stories in the late 1960s and early 1970s. He has drawn comics with most Disney characters, such as 'Little Bad Wolf', 'Donald Duck', and 'Mickey Mouse'. He is considered one of the most talented Scandinavian Disney artists.
