Albert Lanmour worked as an illustrator for American Illustrée in 1907. He then joined the magazine L'Épatant, for which he made the comic 'Les Années de Service de Théodore Tiroflan' in April 1908. Specialized in caricature characters with large heads, Lanmour also created 'Le Hoquet d'Hector Boyaux' (1911) for the magazine.
He drew the humorous 'Aventures de M. Punch' on the back pages of Lili magazine in the 1920s. Lanmour's work also appeared in L'Inédit, La Vie de Garnison, L'Excelsior Dimanche and in Tipperay, a magazine for teaching the English language to French children. Éditions Capendu published his album 'Au Pays des Babmoulas'.
