Julie Larson is a cartoonist from Lincoln, Illinois, and the creator of the wacky cartoon feature 'The Dinette Set'. Born and raised in Illinois, Larson attended the University of Illinois and earned a B.S. in Architecture. She spent the next eight years working in the design field in Chicago. After moving to the suburbs, she switched her career to cartooning. She has been satirizing middle-class culture in 'The Dinette Set' (then called 'Suburban Torture') since 1990. It has been syndicated as a single panel feature, with a double panel on Sundays, by Universal Press Syndicate since 1997.
