After getting his degree in fine arts, Mauro Laurenti joined the Leonetti studios and worked with Renzo Barbieri ('Donna Blu'). He then worked for Francesco Coniglio publishers, where he drew for the magazines Splatter, Mostri and Torpedo. Afterwards, he joined the animation studios of Vito Lo Russo. He also joined Bonelli, where he worked on 'Dampyr' and 'Zagor'.
