André Leal is a Brazilian comic artist, who has often collaborated with Fernanda Breta. He studied philosophy at UFBA and has created comics for among others the 'Front' comic book (Via Lettera), Visualizando Citações, A Máquina, O Quarto ao Lado and the newspapers Jornal Correio da Bahia and A Tarde.

Additionally, his work has been published in VIP (Ed. Abril), TRIP, Kaos! (Ed. Manticora), Betty Gruppy (Ed. Escala), Página Central, Viver Bahia and on a variety of websites. In 2012 his book 'São Jorge da Mata Escura' was selected at the Angoulême comic festival.
