Larry Lewis worked as an advertising/commercial artist and editorial cartoonist from the 1950s. During the 1960s, he was a ghostwriter on newspaper comics like 'Belvedere' and 'The Flintstones', drawn by George Crenshaw and Gene Hazelton, respectively.
Between 1969 and 1976 he had his own college-inspired feature called 'Campus Clatter' through the NEA syndicate. After his retirement in 2002, he started publishing his strips on the internet. Being probably the oldest webcomic artist around, he created the feature 'Les and May' until March 2013.
