Over the Hedge, by T. Lewis

T. Lewis is an American book illustrator and newspaper comic artist. He was born as Thomas Leslie Lewis III in Texas and has lived in such exotic places as Africa, Switzerland and Alaska. He holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from North Texas State University, where he had his first comics published. Lewis has illustrated many children's books, including 'Peter Pan' (Troll Associates, 1988), 'Alice's Adventures in Wonderland' (Calico Books, 1988) and 'Cinderella, the Untold Story' (Birch Lane Press, 1990).

Lewis was also the artist for the 'Mickey Mouse' comic strip for King Features Syndicate and Walt Disney Productions in 1994 and 1995. Together with Michael Fry, he created the animal newspaper comic 'Over the Hedge' in 1995. 'Over the Hedge' successfully filled the spot left vacant when 'Calvin and Hobbes' ended its syndication.
