Born in Jarny, Yan Lindingre attended the School of Fine Arts in Nancy. He began his career in the late 1980s, drawing for local papers like La Voix du Mineur, Le Républicain Lorrain and the free journal Merci. Until 2000 he mainly worked in advertising, until he met comic artist Lefred Thouron, through whom he could publish his work in L'Echo des Savanes and Fluide Glacial.
In Fluide Glacial, he has drawn series like 'Titine', 'Martine' and 'Harald & Hans' (with Lefred Thouron), and scripted 'Chez Francisque' (art by Manu Larcenet) and 'The Zumbies' (with Julien/CDM). With Lefred Thouron he made 'Carottes sont Crues' for Les Requins Marteaux in 2005. He also publishes in the magazines Ferraille, CQFD, Spirou and L'Almanach Vermot. Together with Diego Aranega (Marmouth), he is responsible for photo comics in Fluide Glacial and L'Equipe. He succeeded Christophe Goffette as editor-in-chief of Fluide Glacial in 2012.
