Ellen Lindner grew up on the East Coast of the US but lives in London. Educated at Smith College and University of the Arts, London (Camberwell College), Lindner is now active as a cartoonist, writer and illustrator.

She published her first graphic novel 'Undertow' as writer and artist in 2009. A mini comics version of 'Art History Dropouts', her collaboration with Barnaby Richards was published in 2011. Lindner has contributed to publications and anthologies like The Comix Reader, Whores of Mensa, True Porn, Hi-Horse Omnibus and Project: Telstar. She is the illustrator of 'Little Rock Nine', written by historian Marshall Poe and published by Aladdin in 2007.
