Pokhid Knyazya Olega Na Tsargorod by Yuri Logvin

Yuri Logvin is a Ukrainian artist and writer. He was born in Kiev as the son of architect and art historian Gregory Nykonovych Logvin. He studied at the Shevchenko State Art School in the 1950s, and published his first illustrated children's while in his second year at the Kiev State Art Institute in 1961. Logvin is the author of twenty books, all of which showcase his wide knowledge of Ukrainian and world history, ethnography and folklore. He was furthermore the author of the first series of Ukrainian stamps in the 1990s and 2000s.

He is the author of the historical comic 'Pokhid Knyazya Olega Na Tsargorod', about the campaign of the Varangian Prince Oleg of Novgorod against Constantinopel, that was serialized in Sonyashnyk (Sunflower) in 1991. Other comic stories by Logvin are the monumental 'Shchyt Vishchoho Oleha' (1992) and 'Kozatsʹki dzvony'.
