Luis Matamoros Naranajo is a Cuban cartoonist, who signs his work with Lumat. He is a graduate of the Argentinian Institute of Design, Advertising, Cartoons and Animation, as well as the National School of Graphic Design. His cartoons have appeared in several Cuban publicatioins, such as Verde Olivo, Palante, El Sable, Almiquí, Mar y Pesca and Bohemia. He is best-known for his semi-autobiographical comic strip 'Elena y Luis', that has been published in Cómicos, El Muñe and Palante.
