Libero Malavoglia was born in São Paulo, Brazil in 1959. His first comics appeared in magazine Interquadrinhos in 1984. He created 'Grandes Aventuras Animal', with the character Vira Lata, in 1991, together with writer Paulo Garfunkel. This creation has received several prizes and has appeared in several albums.
