Christian Mallea began his career working in the studio of Horacio Lalia, with whom he worked for the Italian and German market. He then moved on to do illustrations for esoteric, scholastic and political books for several Latin American publishers. In the 1990s, he launched the fanzine Pluma Negra. He is one of the founders of the independent comics label La Productora. He works as a scriptwriter for artists like Angel Mosquito, Jok ('Decadencia'), Alejandro Schmeigel and Carlos Aón ('Road Comic'). He draws the comic 'Elundia' himself, published in Néstor Cómics.
