After his studies in civil engineering, Philippe Masson went to work for Parissien engineering and design agencies, designing highways and motorways. One day, his brother asked him to participate in a fanzine, Le Simo. His work was noted by someone of Bayard publishers, and Masson's professional comics career took off. He took over the graphical part of the series 'Marion Duval' from its creator Yvan Pommaux, who continued to to the writing of the scripts. The series is published in the magazine Astrapi and in albums by Bayard.
