Mike Matthews was one of the contributors to Knockabout, Bryan Talbot's publishing company. Matthews worked with Neil Gaiman on two stories for 'Outrageous Tales from the Old Testament' in 1987, namely 'The Book of Judges' and 'The Tribe of Benjamin'. He also worked with Talbot on a 'Judge Dredd' story for 2000AD. He contributed to 'Seven Deadly Sins', and cooperated with writer Lydia Lunch on the graphic novels 'As-Fix-E-u' (with Nick Cave), 'Cannibal Romance', and 'Sexy Stories From The World Religions'. Mike Matthews died in late 1992.
