Mineo Maya is a male artist of mainly shoujo manga (girls' manga), who debuted in 1973. His best known work is 'Pataliro', which is the longest running shoujo manga serial ever in terms of volumes. The serial was also the first to present homosexuality in TV animation in 1983. Other serials include 'Jashin Hunter Peach Dragon' and 'Ghost Robber Mazarisharif'.
