Demon Tears
Bernie McGovern is a cartoonist, puppet designer, animator, and teacher living in his native Chicago. His real-life adventures are documented in the comic 'DemonTears', that was released by Hic & Hoc Publications in 2013, as well as the mini-comics 'DemonGunz' and his montly mini comic zine 'DemonDust'. He is also working on an epic self-published comic series called 'An Army of Lovers will be Beaten'.
By day, McGovern is an Artist in Residence with the non-profit Snow City Arts Foundation, bringing school credit and art education to children while staying in Chicago hospitals. His puppet designs have appeared in plays by Actors Theatre of Louisville, The Neo-Futurists of Chicago, The Hypocrites, Dog & Pony, Sanculottes, and Drinking & Writing Theater.
