Cinders McLeod's cartoon world began as a young girl when her dad encouraged her to draw on restaurant place mats to keep her quiet. A hater of injustice, she has cartooned, sung, played double-bass, written, filmed, performed, lived and ranted for justice ever since. She lives in Glasgow with her husband and two babies and 'toons four weekly regulars for the Glasgow Herald ('Broomie Law', 'Word of the Week', 'The Stoat') and the Express ('Alien TV'). In November 2000, the first collection of her 'Broomie Law' cartoons was presented.
