Serge et demi-Serge

Lyon-based artist Geoffroy Monde (real name: Geoffroy Reymondon) is active in several artistic disciplines. He is a musician, writer, (digital) painter, animator, and an author of comic books with a strong emphasis on absurdism, according to himself to "highlight the triviality of reality and our perception of the world." Influenced by Daniel Goossens, Pierre La Police and Gotlib, he began publishing comics and drawings on his blog 'Saco: Pandemino' from 2007. He was co-creator of the magazine Le Tigre Mondain, that was distributed to randomly selected mailboxes in 2009. In the following year, his blog joined the portal of Éditions Lapin, that includes many French and foreigh webcomics.

He has also published several books with Lapin, such as 'Bastien Dessert - La désillusion de Philippe Cave' (with Thomas Regnault, 2010), 'Saco:pandemino' (Lapin, 2010), 'Pyramide bougie...' (with NG, 2011) and 'Papa Sirène et Karaté Gérald' (Lapin, 2012). Among his other books are 'Bruno' (Jarjille éditions, 2012), 'Tout ou rien' (Vraoum!, 2013), 'Serge & demi-Serge' (Vide Cocagne, 2014) and 'De rien' (Delcourt, 2016).

He contributed to Vents Contraires, the review of the Théâtre du Rond-Point in Paris from 2011 to 2014, and teamed up with Jessica Garcia to found Éditions du Flan in Saint-Étienne, through which he publishes the fanzine La Cacahuète.
