David Navarro Muñoz is a Spanish comic artist, sculptor and painter, working as an artist of Disney comics through Studio Comicup. He should not be confused with the animator/character designer David Navarro from Barcelona.
Life and career
Originally from the city of Murcia, David Navarro studied Sculpting at the Florence Academy of Art. In November 2008, he received his Bachelor of Fine Arts. While his main forms of artistic expression are sculpting and painting, he has also worked on commercial art assignments. In the 2020s, Navarro began working for Comicup, a Barcelona-based studio that works for several European publishers of Disney magazines. Since 2022, he has been drawing comic stories with Disney characters like the 'Big Bad Wolf', 'Aladdin', 'Panchito' and the Duck family for the Dutch Donald Duck weekly. Known for his dynamic characters and a smooth ink line, Navarro is part of Comicup's new generation of Disney artists, along with Oscar Martinez and David Soriano.
