Josep Nebot i Alegret began his career in 1962-63, working through Josep Toutain's Selecciones Ilustradas agency. In 1986 he started contributing 'Nina' to Garibolo, a short lived weekly which was published by Cia. General Ediciones and which went on with the Bruguera tradition for a while. The comic was a new version of his brother Joan's comic 'Yolanda' for Bruguera.

Nebot then began to work as an artist of Disney comics. He illustrated 'Bonkers' for the French Journal de Mickey, and several stories with more regular Disney characters for the Dutch and Danish publishers ('Mickey Mouse', 'Daisy Duck', 'Joe Carioca', 'Hiawatha').
He has also drawn for the Comicup production of the Dutch comic series 'Sjors en Sjimmie' in the 1990s. He has done illustration work for Bobo and is the artist of 'Karlijn, Catootje en de Ouders' (a spin-off of the Jan Kruis comic 'Jan, Jans en de Kinderen') together with Tony Fernandez for Dutch girls' magazine Tina. In Germany, his comic art has appeared in titles like 'Sumsi' and 'Petzi',
