Park Jae-dong started his career as a comic artist in the newly founded Hangyeore Sinmun magazine in 1988. From the first issue, Park made humorous illustrations and comics in the Illustrations section. After his studies in painting at the University of Seoul, Park Jae-dong became a teacher in painting himself. Park Jae-dong drew for Hangyeore Sinmun until 1996, when he turned to animating the film 'Odoltoki'.
