Jack Patton was an artist from Louisiana. He worked as an editorial cartoonist from the 1910s through the 1930s. In the 1930s, he began the newspaper strip 'Restless Age' (1922-1928), which was followed by 'Dolly Burns' (1928-1933). This latter comic strip was later renamed 'Spencer Easley' (1933-1935), after a break-out character in the series.
