'Spencer Easly'.
Jack Patton was an artist from Louisiana. He worked as an editorial cartoonist from the 1910s through the 1930s. In the 1930s, he began the newspaper strip 'Restless Age' (1922-1928), followed by 'Dolly Burns' (1928-1933). This latter comic strip was later renamed 'Spencer Easley' (1933-1935), after a break-out character in the series.
