Mark Pett was a sixth-grade teacher before he moved to Prague and started draawing cartoons for Czech newspapers. After that, he went back to Salt Lake City, where he grew up, and drew editorial cartoons for the local newspapers. After drawing editorial cartoons, he created a syndicated comic-strip called 'Mr. Lowe', based on Mark's experience as a teacher, in May 2000. Unfortunately, the strip wasn't successful, and ended the strip nine months after it began. In April 2003, Mark Pett began a new comic strip, called 'Lucky Cow'.
