Premières Chaleurs, by Jean-Philippe Peyraud

Jean-Philippe Peyraud studied applied arts in Poitiers, and afterwards he settled in Paris. He did several comics for independent projects, such as the 'Grains de Beauté' trilogy at Treize Étrange and some books with Christopher at La Comédie Illustré ('L'huile sur le Feu', 'Entre la Poire et le Fromage'). At Le Cycliste he did 'Mine de Rien' and 'Vinaigre'. His first work in color appeared at the publishing house Casterman in the series 'Premières Chaleurs' in 2001. From that year, he also created the series 'Ces Années-là' in Phosphore magazine. Peyraud has additionally participated in collective albums by Delcourt and Vents d'Ouest.

He made a graphic contribution to the book 'Françaises, Français, Belges, Belges, Lecteur Chéri, Mon Amour' (Jungle!, 2005), in which comic artists illustrated short stories by comedian Pierre Desproges. He additionally contributed to the anti-racism collective comic book 'Rire Contre Le Racisme' (Jungle!, 2006).
