'Fiddlestix'.
Michael Pohrer is an animator, cartoonist and illustrator from St. Louis, Missouri. He has been drawing since 1979, and started to publish his cartoons and comic strips in print publications in 1988. His internationally syndicated cartoons strip 'Fiddlestix' debuted in the Paper Chase Newspaper on 1 January 1988.

Pohrer celebrated the strip's 25th year of publication in 2013. By then, he had already created 'Welcome to the Jungle' to replace the black-and-white 'Fiddlestix' dailies in April 2010. His latest comic strip is 'A Minute With Captain Obvious', and it started in Lookout Newspaper in April 2014. He regularly works on his strips with Brittany Pohrer and Beth Fischer.

Pohrer's artwork can be seen in various international media sources through The Global Free Press (Kingston, Ontario, Canada), Newsblaze Publications (USA) and Newropeans Magazine (Paris, France). The material created has been broadcast on NBC, featured through Google News and appears in "Best Editorial Compilations", comic books (UK), anthologies, newspapers, magazines, and also in exhibitions.
