'Escadron Delta'.
André Poliquin started out drawing back-up stories for the French-Canadian versions of American comic books. His series were 'Stranox' and 'Escadron Delta'. When the publishing house Héritage canceled these back-up pages, Poliquin founded his own magazine, called Phoenix. He published five issues in 1985 and 1986, containing stories with his two earlier series. He was also present on the American market with a self-published translation of 'Escadron Delta', called 'Delta Squadron'. In the early 1990s, he occasionally contributed to Exil and Warp. He became a regular contributor to Courrier de Saint-Hyacinthe, doing caricatures and the continuing stories 'Le Fantôme Maskoutain' and 'Hantise dans la Ville'.
Poliquin did a study of the comic market and as a result took on a more caricatural style. He produced 'Alphonse et le Harfang Magique' at the publishing house Collège Ahuntsic in 1992. That same year, he started working on the album 'Généalogie', which he finished in 1995. In this album, he restyled the universe from the 'Escadron Delta'. A new mini-series of 'Escadron Delta' appeared in 1997. He made a new version of 'Alphonse et le Harfang Magique' for the magazine Jean Nendur et Compagnie from 1994 to 1996. In the same magazine, he drew the trilogy 'Les Aventures Surnaturelles d'Éric Brouillard et le Cycle des Continents Engloutis' and the series 'Chikara'.
