Robert van Raffe studied Arts, Media & Design at the Willem de Kooning Academy in Rotterdam. During his studies, he began to ironically behave like a dandy, which earned him the nickname "Dandy Raffe". He is active as a graphic designer and illustrator. As a comic artist, he has published his work in Zone 5300, Possionate, NRC Next, The Daily Tiger, Stripblad De Lijn, Swasbeer and Cutie Magazine, and self-published several small books. He is also an editor/reporter for Zone 5200 (since 2006) and Studio Hergebruik. He is the regular comics columnist in the BNO magazine Vormberichten. His graphic novel 'Zonder Filter' was published by Oog & Blik in February 2014, and presented to fellow dandy Jort Kelder in De Hallen Haarlem on 14 March 2014.
