Aristídes Rechaín was an Argentinian comic author from the early 20th century. He drew for satirical magazines, such as Caras y Caretas, Plus Ultra and El Suplemento. From 1925 he illustrated the series 'La familia de don Sofanor' in La Novela Semanal. The strip was about a family who aspires to be high class. In the 'Página del Dólar', Rechaín illustrated the rough relations of a black family. The comic was part of a cigarette campaign in La Novela Semanal and would be considered racist to modern standards. Rechaín also illustrated several literary and educational works.
