Daniel Redondo started his professional career in Barcelona. Basque of origin, he returned to his native environment and created the comic characters 'Yann et Mirka' along with writer Harriet. Harriet and Redondo continued their cooperation with the historical adventure series 'La Marque de la Sorcière'. In 1992, he started a spin-off series of Jean-Marc Charlier and Victor Hubinon's famous 'Barbe-Rouge' series: 'La Jeunesse de Barbe-Rouge', written by Christian Perrissin.
